Biographies of Sir Kenelm Digby, seventeenth century English courtier, diplomat and natural philosopher; and of George Digby, 2nd Earl of Bristol, KG. (1612 – 1677) an English politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1640 until 1641 when he was raised to the House of Lords. He supported the Royalist cause in the English Civil War but his ambition and instability of character caused serious problems to himself and the Kings he served. Pp.286, 2 portrait plates, library label to inside front board, occasional library stamps. Dark blue cloth, gilt title to spine, remains of old paper label to spine, wear to top and tail and spine edges. Good.

Return of goods
Every care has been taken with the description of all books listed. However if you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase. You may return the books promptly for a full refund of the invoice value. We must insist you contact us immediately to let us know of your intentions.
